Bullies: Why?

Hiya again!

In this post I'd love to talk to you about something that I really don't understand, and something that's happened to me VERY recently (as in about an hour or so ago!). And this something is bullying.

Let's start with a stiry. I'm on this open website called Quotev, on which you can share stories and quizzes etc, and read each others. I am part of an online magazine on it, in which yhere are multiple authors contributing articles. Today someone hacked into our main mag account, and deleted/edited some of our posts, posted an article on porn (if you don't know what that is, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T GOOGLE IT. ASK YOUR PARENTS IF YOU MUST KNOW. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.), and commented some really horrible things that I won't mention, before deactivating the account and therefore losing all our data, followers, and account. Meanwhile giving several people panic attacks and reducing a lot of us to tears.

My question to you is: Why would you do t…

Orange And Poppy Seed Scones Recipe

Hello readers!

This is a very stereotypical British 'Afternoon Tea' type thing, but with an added interesting flavour.

Today I made some scones using a basic recipe, but the inspiration for the flavours wasn't from my dead grandma or a happy pastime, as most interesting bakers use, but simply because I had some oranges in the fridge that I needed to use up, and 1/2 a pot of poppy seeds that have been in the cupboard for about 2 years and I figured needed using up. I was sceptical of the idea at first, but being the adventurous person I am, I tried it. And they actually tasted amazing!!

What You'll Need:
• 400g self raising flour
• 60g butter
• 50g sugar
• 5 tbsp poppy seeds
• zest of 1 orange
• a couple of handfuls of raisins or sultanas
• 1 egg, beaten
• 150-200ml semi skimmed milk

How To Make:

1. Preheat the oven to 200*C or 490*F.

2. Mix together the flour and butter until it has the consistency of fine breadcrumbs. You can use either a mixer or a wooden spoon - n…

Song Lyrics G - Gallway Girl

Hi!

How are you guys today? I'm so nervous right now - no, not nervous. Apprihensive. But anyway I have a singing showcase in 2 hours and I have quite a few solos... anyway.

Today's song is Gallway Girl by Ed Sheeran!

She played the fiddle in an Irish band
But she fell in love with an English man
Kissed her on the neck and then I took her by the hand
Said, "baby, I just want to dance" I meet her on Grafton street right outside of the bar
She shared a cigarette with me while her brother played the guitar
She asked me what does it mean, the Gaelic ink on your arm?
Said it was one of my friend's songs, do you want to drink on?
She took Jamie as a chaser, Jack for the fun
She got Arthur on the table with Johnny riding as a shotgun
Chatted some more, one more drink at the bar
Then put Van on the jukebox, got up to dance You know, she played the fiddle in an Irish band
But she fell in love with an English man
Kissed her on the neck and then I took her by the hand
Said, "baby, I ju…

Song Lyrics F - Faded

Hiya!!

I was looking through my old posts and I realised that I hadn't done a song lyrics for a while, so I thought I would. I'm trying  to get a bit of variety to my posts at the moment, so please let me know any time if there's any particular topic you want my views about or advice on.

So today its Faded by Alan Walker. I'm going to try and do more current songs, but F is hard!! Comment if you have any requests for upcoming letters...

Also if you give me a shoutout then I will be haply to do so back!

You were the shadow to my light
Did you feel us
Another start
You fade away
Afraid our aim is out of sight
Wanna see us
Alive

Where are you now
Where are you now
Where are you now
Was it all in my fantasy
Where are you now
Were you only imaginary
Where are you now

Atlantis
Under the sea
Under the sea
Where are you now
Another dream
The monsters running wild inside of me

I'm faded
I'm faded
So lost
I'm faded
I'm faded
So lost
I'm faded

These shallow waters, never met
What I needed

The Mess Of Our World At The Moment

Heya again.

I know this is the second serious post in a row, but I need, must say something about this issue. It has been bothering me for ages, and when would be a better time to post about it than now? I promise you guys that I will do something a bit more positive next time. Also I was thinking - maybe I should start doing slightly more personal posts too? Let me know in the comments if you'd like that!

Anyway. One of  the things that disgusts me the most in this world, (and yes there is A LOT) is that there are loads of people that have so much money that they're doing nothing with, and then on the other side of the world there are starving, dying people with no help at all. I find it awful when people clutching purses, or with a handbag over their shoulder, buying lots of expensive stuff, walk past a homeless person without giving them a second thought. Can you not spare one of your millions of pounds for a dying, lonely and starving person who has nothing? I heard a fact…

My Thoughts On The Manchester Attack

Heya guys.

Today's post is about a serious, sad topic that gets me so mad to the point of crying whenever I think about it. I'm sorry that it's not as upbeat as my usual posts, but I just had to let my feelings out about it, and what better place than on my blog?

May 22nd 2017. The day 22 people lost their lives to a suicide bomb in Manchester.

That is what that date will be remembered in history as.

And it makes me so angry! These innocent people, just going out to have fun at a concert - some were probably trying to escape the press of exams, some just having fun. They had no reason to worry about their safety. No reason to expect that that would be their last evening in the world. Because some stupid, selfish, HORRIBLE group thought that the best way of getting what they wanted was to murder people.

And the 59 injured. 59 people possibly never to walk again, or be able to use one or more limbs. Because one steupid, selfish group thought that the best way of getting what…

Piano Tutorials : The Hanging Tree

Hey guys!

So I was thinking about this blog, and since its supposed to be a lifestyle blog, I feel like I need more varied content. I already cover song lyrics, book reviews, random top 10s, fashion, hair and all that, but one of the other main things that I love to do is play piano.

Does anyone else ever get really annoyed by this? Often I really want to learn a new song or piece to play, but i've already tried to work it out myself and its just not right, and i've been searching on the internet for hours trying. to find the right notes! Well I want to stop this for other people - if this happens to you I will try my best to find the notes for you and put them on my blog! Please comment or contact me if you have a request.

So in the meantime, I will post the songs I already know in case you just want a song, any song, but you don't know what! I'll start off with The Hanging Tree (from The Hunger Games - I am OBSESSED with that series right now!!) but I'll probably…

How To Fall Asleep Faster

Heya guys x

If you're anything like me then it's a real pain trying to fall asleep - im always tired but as sonn as i get into bed my mind is taken up by random thoughts and it takes hours for me to rest! I have to wake up at 6 am to get to school on time, and most nights i dont get home from dance until about 9 and still  need my dinner afterwards. This makes it really hard to get enough rest, especially with practice and homework to fit in as well! So here's some tips to make the most of your time in bed and to maximise your sleeping time...

1. Stretch
Scientists have proven that stretching helps you fall asleep faster as your body can find a comfortable position quicker and easier. I find it also helps with dancing; if you get into a daily routine of stretching morning and night it will improve your flexibility so much, so fast!

2.  Drink loads of water
To be honest, I don't really know how or why this helps, but it does! It will leave your body feeling refreshed an…

Creating Characters - Guest Post By IndigoSky

Heya guys! Sorry again for being inactive lately I just had a complete writers block and couldn't think of any post ideas. Today's post is actually a guest post by IndigoSky (link at the bottom) about how to develop story characters. This is really useful if writing stories is your thing, as it's easy to make them typical, boring personalities with nothing to make them stand out. So here we go!

Hey guys, it’s IndigoSky here. Thanks to Apple Tree for letting me do a guest post on her blog! Anyway, let’s get on with this post. I love reading and creative writing, and I know that one of the hardest parts of writing a story is coming up with good, realistic, believable characters. So I’ve put together a list of rules to follow when coming up with characters: Rule 1: People aren’t perfect. It can be very tempting to make your characters have only positive characteristics and no negative side, especially if you’re writing a romance story, or something to do with superheroes. Don’t. …

Confidence: How To Boost Your Self Esteem

Heya guys x

Sorry I have been so inactive recently I've just had a lot going on.

Today's post is about self confidence. This is crucial in life as no self esteem=unhappy life. Especially going through 'the teen phase' can be super hard, with all the pressure from school, media and pretty much everything else. I'm trying to help you make the most of your life, and to feel confident within yourself and your body.

Know Your Strengths
This is the first step to building self esteem, because you have to be able to accept your talents and the fact that you are amazing. There is a difference between being vain and knowing that your talented, so don't be afraid to show off a bit! No one likes someone who is always putting themselves down, so lighten up a bit, take compliments and shine through your skills.

Improve Yourself
If you see something that you don't like about yourself, work on it and change it to make it better. For example if you don't like your hair, t…

Hiyya guys x

Have any of you done a lyric prank? I'm obsessed with them! I've probably done a lyric prank to all of my contacts by now. New Year Resolutions

Hiya guys, and happy 2017!!

It's finally 2017! Whoop whoop! I know everyone is saying how bad 2016 was,, with all those celebrities dying, and brexit and all that... but actually for me it was a pretty good year! I got my first boyfriend (and my first ex but that's a different story), started y8, got my braces, done lots of dance exams, and grew a lot personally and physically. Thinking back to this time last year, I can't believe how much I have changed!

Do you make New Years resolutions? I do. Most people only make three, but, being me, I have to go that extra step. Last year I did 18, but this year I did 27. Yes. 27. It's probably because there's so much in my life that I want to change... I won't bore you with all of them but here's my 5 most important ones...

•have more self confidence
•try and make my friend Christian
•get my forward walkover
•get over £20 in my bank (that doesn't sound like much but I spendk faster than Taylor Swift breaks up wit…
